Whitetail Deer Hunting
Valentine Land and Timber’s Point of Neuse Plantation has some of the best whitetail hunting North Carolina and Virginia has to offer. With over 2000 acres of prime whitetail deer habitat at their disposal, our guides have the resources and experience to put you on the deer. Our semi-guided hunts begin early in the morning with a meeting in the lodge. Each hunter is given a VHF radio and dropped off close to their stand, or if one chooses, escorted to the stand. We make every effort to minimize morning disturbance in the hunting areas as to maximize early morning hunting. We encourage our hunters to stay in the stand all day, but some may choose to exit late morning, grab some lunch, regroup, and head back out early in the afternoon. However you choose to hunt, we will accommodate you.
We invite large groups (minimum of 5 hunters) to enjoy our classic weekend hunt. We have the land and space for everyone to enjoy their own, safe hunting space. We encourage every hunter to kill the limit of 2 deer/day and come put some meat in the freezer. Any bucks harvested must be at least 8 points and as wide as the span of ears (meaning one ear tip to the other). We like to emphasize continuing the hunting tradition for the next generation so we encourage father/son and father/daughter teams to come hunt on youth day and during one of our regularly scheduled Saturday hunts. Our youth day deer hunt has been a long standing tradition, and we continue to encourage as much participation as possible.

Hunt Type, Rates, and Deposit Policy:
Regular Season Saturday Hunts (minimum 5 hunters/group): The cost is $425/day/person for a full day hunt on Saturday including lodging on Friday night. Subtract $50 for no lodging.
Muzzleloading Season Hunts (minimum 5 hunters/group): The cost is $425/day/person and includes lodging on Friday night. Subtract $50 for no lodging.
Archery Season Hunts (minimum 5 hunters/group): The cost is $350/day/person and includes lodging on Friday night. Subtract $50 for no lodging.
To confirm bookings, a 50% deposit is required within 7 days of booking the trip. Advanced bookings are encouraged because we get full. Trips booked within 2 weeks of the date of the trip must be paid in full to secure the reservation. Deposits are non-refundable but can be used as a credit for a rescheduled trip if canceled greater than 21 days before the trip. We offer 100% refunds for weather cancellations.

What to bring:
You will need your hunting weapon, good camo clothing, a face mask, orange hat.
