404 Permits and 401 Certifications

VLT can help you with your permitting needs.  Wetlands and waters of the United States are regulated by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) and the N.C. Division of Water Quality (NCDWQ), in accordance with Section 404 and 401 of the Clean Water Act.  Impacts to these jurisdictional wetlands and waters require a 404 Permit from USACE and a 401 Certification from NCDWQ.  We suggest any anticipated impacts to these wetlands and water created through development, restoration, or any other land altering activities be considered well in advance of any design or implementation of a project.  We are happy to meet with for a consultation to discuss your options and potential limitations during one of our consultations.
